New Supervisor’s Workshop
The primary goals of this program will be:
- To acknowledge and address issues facing your new and/or
not-so-new supervisory staff
- To gain a much better understanding of how
to influence successful outcomes without constantly resorting to the
inherent authority a
supervisor possesses to give orders and impose
consequences
Specific topics will include:
- How to handle conflict and difficult staff
- How to motivate and build high-functioning teams
- How to leverage the skills and abilities of a manager’s staff
without destroying the potential future development of each staff member
- How to use feedback, coaching, performance management and
progressive discipline to maximize performance and to effectively interact
with
under-performers
